Description
DEVELOPMENT: Exhaust upgrades tailored to the GT4 platform will naturally focus on maximizing its motorsports character, and our Race Exhaust does so by redesigning the system after the headers to deliver optimal exhaust flow through the tips. The factory dual-exit/entry flanges connecting the Over Axle Pipes and PSE rear muffler limit tubing diameter to 2.25”, but the SOUL Race Exhaust System maintains 2.5” on either side and longer piping and a bespoke X-pipe produces a smoother and higher-pitched sound that was familiar to previous iterations of the GT4 and Boxster Spyder. Durable race resonators refine that aggressive exhaust note, and coupled with the drone canisters we developed for the GT4 RS, reduce drone to a comfortable level. A non-resonated version is available for drivers looking for maximum sound and weight savings.
POWER:Below are the unedited, straight from the Dyno Jet dyno results as conducted by Jotech Motorsports with before and after runs on a 718 GT4. Max power gains of 30.7 whp and 16.1 ft-lbs of torque come in quickly and hold until redline for a noticeable increase in driving performance. An ECU tune would further take advantage of the increased flow and unlock greater gains.
CONSTRUCTION: Each system is assembled in house in the USA out of mandrel bent, thick wall .065″” T304L stainless steel. Back purged TIG welding (with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas) ensures proper weld penetration and longevity. Water jet cut flanges are made to ISO 9001:2015 standards with tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches for extreme precision. We fabricate these over axle pipes using thick gauge aluminum fixtures which act as a great heat sink during the welding process and prevent warping not only of our products, but the fixtures themselves to ensure perfect fitment.
BOLT ON AND GO: Every component is rigorously quality-checked, tested in a fixture to guarantee fitment, and then foam packed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. New high grade hardware and four OEM Porsche gaskets are included for installation.

Got my Soul Race Exhaust (with resonators) installed over the weekend on my 718 Spyder (1K miles) and got a few different types of drives in yesterday and today to get some initial impressions. First off, WOW what a difference! Sound is amazing and makes the car so much more fun, even just cruising around town. Definitely louder but what I love the most is the higher pitch scream that reminds me more of a 991.1 and 991.2 GT3…not quite there of course but definitely a step in the right direction. Gives the car much more attitude and I find myself driving way more aggressively. Proper GT sound and, from what I can tell, a slight improvement in performance. Thank you John. Great work.
Now, there are a few small drawbacks to note but, for me, they are worth the price of admission. First off, there is definitely a drone at 2K to about 2.7K RPM when getting on the gas. If you are very sensitive to drone, be warned it’s there. One thing to note, there is much less drone with the top down. Another draw back is the install….it’s nothing too difficult but it is time consuming since you have to jack up the car to get underneath access and also have to take the rear wheels off to be able to get easy access to the bolts to the header/link pipes. Lots of bolts, nuts, and screws to deal with. Having a quickjack would have definitely helped to speed things along. Conventional jack and jack stands were a pain to set up properly.
In summary, I’m happy with the exhaust as it definitely adds more fun to the experience….especially with the top down. Great value at $2500 when compared to other alternatives.

Switched from Akra links to souls race system and couldn’t be happier. Drone is there but I’ve learned to manipulate the throttle and RPMs to help. Sound is incredible and the power increase is easily noticeable. I did add BMC filters at the same time so I’m guessing that added to the overall drone.
More importantly is the customer service from John. Truly unbelievable – I didn’t even purchase the exhaust from them because I got it slightly used on the marketplace but purchased the black slash cut tips from them. He’s called me numerous times and answered every question I had. A true enthusiast and will be a client for as long as I continue to blow money on cars they have parts for.
